Wild Weekends

Unique inspiring weekends connecting to nature

Wild weekends at Chiddinglye.

The weekends take place in the stunning  Sussex countryside,  surrounded by ancient forests, summer meadows, wildlife and starry skies.

Wild Weekends are an opportunity to learn more about nature with inspiring teachers, authors, artists, conservationists, film makers, farmers and anyone who is inspired by nature.
On a Wild Weekend you can meet inspirational people who spend their lives either working, writing, creating or supporting nature and wildlife. From conservationists to nature writers, farmers to rewilders,  reintroduction specialists, land managers, artists, poets, storytellers and so much more.

You can  learn skills such as fire making, den building, tracking, bird, tree, plant identification, bird language, , archery, wood carving, yoga, relaxation and meditation, creative writing, wild arts, foraging, wild cooking with campfire music, myth making and storytelling with the option of camping, glamping and delicious organic food plus much more.

We will invite the very best teachers, leaders, speakers and acoustic musicians  to create truly magical weekends.  These weekends are a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature,  to let go of the constant pressures of daily life and relax, for health and well being with some great activities for all the family.
Each weekend will  have different content, with a unique favour.  We will have special guests, such as nature writers, myth makers, rewilding specialists, inspiring folk from all walks of life that are connected to nature and wildlife, along with a mix of Bushcrafts, Chi Gung, Foraging, Woodworking Archery, Fencing, Ancient fire making, choirs, Wild Crafts, nature skills and more.

We are just finalising the programme. You can book a weekend now and when the line up for each weekend is announced and you would rather swap, to another weekend, that is fine.
Places will be limited  as the events will be small and intimate, run off grid without amplification
so as not to disturb nature. Most of the events are family friendly, some are adults only such as retreats.  We hope that by spending time in nature, amongst fresh air, eating healthy food, learning new skills, we can create wild weekends that inspire well being and happiness. The aim is a safe, healthy, relaxing and enjoyable weekend as possible.
The weekends include all activities, you can add camping (bring your own tent) or you can hire one (see below), showers, parking and campfire music.
You can buy delicious food on site and/or bring your own,
We are now as we planning  each unique weekend and will update the programme as it evolves,
you can then decide which weekend you wish to come too.
We  want to be as inclusive as possible and make sure anyone can attend no matter
their financial position.  Wildness and nature should be accessible to all.
